Happy Birthday Dad!

My Dad would be 74 today if complications from lung cancer/pneumonia hadn't taken him at the young age of 57. He was the kindest most sensitive heart and I miss him everyday. Like me, he had an artist outlet, his being in the form of woodworking. He was very good at building furniture and I loved watching and helping him in his garage while growing up. I own a Grandmothers clock that he built the wooden case for and together his Dad and he built the Westminster Clock movement for it. It has the most beautiful chime every 15 mins...it was something he built with his own hands and I will never part with it.
On one of Dads birthdays, I painted a saw for him...something he had wanted for a very long time. Needless to say I poured my heart and soul into it and the look on his face and tears in eyes was worth all the hours I put into it. I ended up painting 2 saws for my Dad ...he hung them with pride in his and my Moms house and got to enjoy them for the rest of the years he had with us.
I am attaching the photos of the saws...to share the joy I had painting them for my Dad.
